Past Accomplishments and Present Involvements of the NUASF

  • Community Clean Ups for Water Quality yearly project.

  • Owners, operators, and maintenance of Clear Lake Aeration System.

  • Active participant in fish management plan for Clear Lake in Brown County.

  • Purchased sand for installation of a beach at Clear Lake County Park.

  • Purchased and installed a handicapped walkway to the fishing pier at Clear Lake.

  • Camp Courage (physically challenged children) annual fishing outing.

  • Fishing outings with various community youth groups including "Take a Kid Fishing" Day and "Riverside Park Youth Fishing Contest".

  • Riverbank protection and access project at Riverside Park in New Ulm.

  • New Ulm Area Sport Fisherman participated in the construction of the city wetland reclamation project, 18 acres in Minnecon Park, co-funded with the City of New Ulm.

  • Founders of Sportsmen's Coalition for a Clean Minnesota River, and what is now "CCMR", Coalition for a Clean Minnesota River, and remains and active group member.

  • Participants in "Adopt a River" program annual riverbank clean ups.

  • Work in cooperation with state/ local government and their agencies.

  • Cooperate with other conservation organizations.

  • Many fundraising projects to support activities such as: rummage and garage sales, raffles, food vending, festival work, contests and others.

  • Member of Minnesota Sport Fishing Congress.

  • Organized Storm Drain Stenciling Project.
